Covid-19
April. 21, 2020

Today we learned that an employee of ViWinTech tested positive for Covid-19 (Coronavirus). The employee is not hospitalized, but is at home in self-quarantine and in stable condition.  Following the guidance from local, state and federal agencies, including the CDC and other health organizations, we will be closed for the remainder of the week.  This will include deep cleaning and sanitizing of the affected areas of the facility by a third party. The Health Department has advised us that those at highest risk are people who were within 6 feet of the affected employee for at least 30 minutes.  Based upon this criterion, we feel that no employees meet that standard.  However, as a precautionary measure, we have made any employee who was within close contact with the affected employee aware and advised them to see their primary care provider.  We encourage all employees to closely monitor their health and take their temperature at home prior to coming to work. If they experience symptoms, including a fever, they are encouraged to contact their primary care provider and stay home.  All employees will be paid for the full work week, so there is no need to file for unemployment.  Any employee who is not on direct deposit and receives a live check should return to see their supervisor and they will receive their check today.  Those who receive direct deposit will receive their pay as they normally would.  The plan is to reopen on Monday.  Should that plan change, we will post an update on our Facebook page.

We wish safety and good health to all of our employees and customers.

Sincerely,

Evan Rittgers

Dear Valued Customer,

As many of you have likely seen, Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear issued an Executive Order ordering all non-essential retail businesses to close by 8:00 pm today, March 23, 2020.

As a critical manufacturer and supplier for the Building Materials industry, we are not affected by this order and we will remain open, until further notice.

We will continue to follow the CDC guidelines where practicable, as we stated in our previous memo. We very much appreciate all of our employees and customers who are helping us to work through this extremely challenging situation. If you would like more information regarding the Executive Order, please use the link below.
