“Currently, the only options to achieve an interior vinyl window with color are laminate, capstock, or paint. However, until now, making every window component black has been impossible,” explains Evan Rittgers, President of ViWinTech.
According to Rittgers, the ThruBlack window uses new pigment technology to create a black PVC material for the window, which has a natural black color. The product has been thoroughly tested to be long-lasting, using vented profiles to moderate temperatures and limit heat absorption, preventing fading.
“Our distributors and their customers have been asking for an all-black vinyl window for years,” says Mark Breese, National Sales Manager at ViWinTech. “Now, we have the technology. Previously, there wasn’t a reliable way to get black interior windows. Some components couldn’t be capped or laminated, so there were always natural color elements visible in the dark-colored options. ThruBlack is exactly how it sounds; every component is black. This is a game changer.”
The ThruBlack product launch coincides with the expansion of the ViWinTech manufacturing and warehousing facilities, which are set to be completed this spring.
Select ViWinTech distributors are now taking orders on the ThruBlack window, as production and shipping are underway.
